This is a systemic, non selective herbicide in the control of grass sedges and broad leaved weeds. Depending on the type of crop, glyweed can be used as a pre plant or post plant.

Care should be taken to avoid contact with a plant if used as a post plant application. Glyweed is an important tool in zero tillage.

This inhibits biosynthesis of the essential amino acids needed for protein synthesis wich is crucial for growth and survival of weeds.
